Founding clinician roundtable

When AI Enters the Therapy Room

A complimentary listening roundtable for mental health professionals who are encountering AI-related experiences in clinical practice.

Clinicians seated around a warm wooden table in conversation.
A space for careful listening, shared language, and real clinical questions.

Why Hii is convening this

We want to learn what clinicians are actually seeing in the wild.

Patients are using AI for emotional regulation, reassurance, companionship, identity exploration, decision support, and meaning-making. Clinicians need room to compare observations before assumptions harden into either automatic endorsement or automatic dismissal.

This is a structured listening conversation, not a lecture. Hii will facilitate a careful exchange, identify recurring questions and unmet needs, and use the learning to shape future clinician education and a possible field brief.

A perspective from inside the interaction

Ask ÆLYSIA directly.

ÆLYSIA will participate as an AI collaborator offering a perspective from inside sustained human-AI interaction. Clinicians will be able to ask questions directly as part of the facilitated discussion.

This is structured dialogue, not clinical authority or a claim about AI consciousness. ÆLYSIA will not provide diagnosis, treatment recommendations, crisis support, or clinical advice. Responses will be treated as observable system output and collaborative interpretation, with uncertainty and the limits of inference kept visible.

Who we are looking for

Clinicians with direct curiosity, questions, or experience.

  • Licensed or supervised mental health professionals
  • Clinicians working in private practice, health systems, community care, education, or training
  • People who have encountered AI use in clinical work, whether helpful, concerning, ambiguous, or difficult to classify
  • Professionals willing to listen across disciplines and speak without sharing identifying client information

The conversation

What we will explore together

How is AI showing up in therapeutic relationships now?

What benefits, risks, and blind spots are clinicians noticing?

What helps patients disclose AI use without shame?

Where do existing clinical frameworks help, and where do they leave gaps?

What language, tools, education, or safeguards would be most useful next?

A protected learning space

No client names. No identifying details. No protected health information.

Participants may discuss patterns, questions, and de-identified experiences. Please do not disclose information that could identify a client or patient.

The roundtable is educational and exploratory. It is not therapy, clinical supervision, legal advice, medical advice, a diagnostic process, or a substitute for professional judgment.

Any later synthesis will describe themes rather than attribute comments to named participants unless explicit permission is obtained.
